It is that time again. Time to head “North to Alaska”! We will begin in Dawson Creek, mile post 0,
British Columbia and end in Tok, Alaska. In between we will see some of the most breathtaking scenery on
the continent as we travel through parts of British Columbia, the Yukon Territory, and Alaska.
In order we will see the town of Fort Nelson, have dinner at Muncho Lake, a night at Watson Lake and see
the Fabulous Sign Forest (Be sure to bring a sign), to Teslin for a great Yukon meal. Then its onto Skagway
for three nights with a dinner and railroad summit excursion. From Skagway its to Whitehorse to spend three
nights with two meals and the Frantic Follies show. We then head for the seaport town of Haines, Haines
Junction, Beaver Creek with a special dinner show, Tok, Alaska which is the start of your next 16 nights in
Alaska. From Tok it’s onto Fairbanks to spend four nights with sightseeing by bus, dinner and saloon show
Alaskan style, a paddle boat trip on the Chena River, lunch at The Pump House, tour the El Dorado gold
mine, Fairbanks Ice Museum, and Fairbanks University Museum. Optional tours over the Artic Circle are
available on a free day in Fairbanks. Then we go to Healy near Mt. McKinley, North American’s highest
peak when we tour Denali National Park. We have set aside optional white water rafting for the more adventurous
ones. We will visit Anchorage with a meal at the Sourdough Mining Company with time for shopping.
Camp on Homer Spit, with free time to see the area or if you would like to try halibut fishing an optional
charter is available on a free day. It’s back to the Anchorage area to Palmer to spend the night before
going to Valdez where the famous Alaska Pipe Line ends. At Valdez we will enjoy another boat tour that
includes the beautiful Prince William Sound and stately Columbia and Mears Glaciers. Then it’s back to Tok
for a farewell dinner and head back to the Lower 48. There are three suggested return routes: Alaska Highway,
Cassiar Highway, or you can take the Inland Passage Ferry System. This is a trip of a lifetime you
won’t want to miss! This trip is limited to 25 units so make your reservations early.
