Another successful Rally in sunny Florida for us Snow Birds. We had a great turn out for ALL of the games and were ENJOYED by ALL.

The Rally started Wednesday under sunny skies and we had our opening comments to review the coming agenda, introduced first time attendees (18) along with our Coachmen representatives, and registration for the various games. We had a total of 35 units attending, for the maximum of 35 sites allotted to us by the Campground. (Members were from IN, FL, MD, PA, TN, OH, NC, CT, MI, LA, GA, TX, MS, NJ, DE, MA, SC, WI. & Canada). We had our ice cream social along with catching up on the latest news with our friends.

Thursday morning was windy, but the Bocce competition was ON, Don Muckley did a marvelous job of setting up the courts and assigning the players. The winners were: First place: Jean Varner, Wendy Valli, Martin Russell & Armand Marks. Second place: Stan Wildermuth, Shirley Mylles, Bill Verner & Carol Shotwell.

For dinner we had a catered roast beef dinner with all the trimmings from our old friends, “Rainbow Restaurant & Catering”. After dinner, some members stayed for “Jokers” Instructions.

Thursday night and Friday morning, it was raining. Golf Croquet was scheduled so we set up to play Bean Bag Baseball (BBB) in the Rec. Hall, instead. Thanks to all who help to put away the tables and set up the BBB sets. First Place: Judy Hambel, Carol Shotwell, Pat Horvath, Bob Horvath, Joyce Stevenson, Fred Tipton, Tony Reed, Tony Mazurek, Jerry Medici, Edna Muckley & Ethelyne Ensor. Second Place: Chris Medici, Rita Gehrts, Eleanor Jacobs, Diane Mazurek, Rae Hong, Dawn Battams, Mel Fetty, Marie Gifford, Kim Hong & Bill Baltus.
A cook out was also scheduled, however, the campground’s grill could not be found and we had no access to the kitchen. Rainbow Catering came to the rescue again and delivered us a delicious spaghetti dinner. After dinner Joker instructions were reviewed and some practice again.

Saturday: OPEN DAY: The members ventured out to explore the local areas.

Sunday: The morning was free so member could attend morning services.
The afternoon was sunny and windy, just right for our Golf Croquet games. The winners were: First place: Rae Hong, Eleanor Jacobs, and Audrey Hayden. Second place. George Jordan, Pat Hovath, and Marguerite Habel.


After dinner we had an old Bob Hope USO DVD movie to show, but that was cancelled as members went to their RVs to watch the NFL championship games.

Monday: A new game called Crazy/Ladder Golf was scheduled, however due to the rain it was replaced by Bean Bag Baseball –2. Once again members pitched in and set up the games in the Rec. hall.
After lunch we had our annual meeting, the following officers were elected: President Kim Hong (CT.), VP Don Muckley (OH.), VP Shirley Mylles (FL.) and Treasurer/Secretary Larry Odell (NY/TX). (See meeting minutes for further details).

The games continued after the meeting and the winners were: First place: Lynn Morris, Diane Mazurek, Tony Mazurek, Fred Tipton, Jim Simon, Bill Baltus, and Sue Marks. Second place: Don Muckley, Rita Gehrts, Joe Ensor, Ethelyne Ensor, Mary Belle Baltus, Ellen Curtis and Tony Reed. For dinner our caterer served Roasted Chicken along with other goodies. After dinner some played Jokers.

Tuesday: Morning, Joker games started with many of the first timers participating and winning. The Winners were: First Place. Charles Valli and Kim Hong. Second Place. Gayle Pedersen and Jerry Medici. Our dinner was a Great Pizza party provided by a local restaurant. After dinner the closing ceremony was held and games awards were presented.

Wednesday: Coffee and Donuts was provided as we bid each other so long and a SAFE journey.
